We're around two weeks into the Football Manager 2022 beta and we have already discovered a total gem of a tactic. It's easily one of the best 4231 tactics for FM22 currently available, and we think you'd be silly not to give it a go!
FM22Tactics.com has spent a lot of time exploring FM22 and we are so impressed with this tactic, created by Aleshkohen, that we have decided to review it.
This 4231 tactic for FM22 uses a positive mentality, which means you're going to spend the majority of your time on the front foot, provided you have a half-decent squad. Additionally it's a very attack-orientated tactic with 4 players utilising the attack duty and another 4 players on support. This doesn't mean you won't keep clean sheets though, with 20 out of 33 games during testing resulting in a 0 goals conceded.
Aleshkohen originally created this tactic for Football Manager 2021 but it worked so well, that he decided to port it to the new game.
You can purchase FM22 here via FM Base for a juicy 30% discount until the game fully releases on the 9th November 2021.
If you like to have your right wingers cut inside onto their left foot and vice versa with the other wing, then this tactic is for you.
Goals goals goals
As you can see via the statistics above, this tactic just loves to entertain. 102 goals scored over 38 games with Athletic Bilbao is an incredible achievement by any standards.
Let's break that down. 102 goals scored, 28 goals conceded. That's almost 4 goals to every 1 goal conceded. Woah!
What's in a formation?
You're looking at a stereotypical 4231 tactic with a couple of wingers, an attacking playmaker and full backs that bomb forward at every opportunity. What makes it unique however, is the two deep-lying playmakers who will always be looking for ways to launch new and creative attacks, wave after wave.
Where can I download this tactic?
You can download this tactic via FM Base, a fan-site who regularly test tactics to see how effective they are! In-fact, they will be launching their automated tactic testing system for FM22 shortly after full release.
If you're not a huge fan of the 4231 system for Football Manager, you can always check out this equally effective tactic by DorkSirjur.
